Enjoy a short and easy round trip at Mineral Licks, only halfway between our lodge and the Liard Hot Springs. Keep an eye out for sheep and other wildlife while soaking up the picturesque scenery at the viewpoint.

If you’re after a more difficult hike, you can descend the steep trail to the thunderous Smith River Falls, located 85 km from the Northern Rockies Lodge. Didn’t bring your hiking shoes? Even the panorama from the parking lot and the scenic drive along the Alaska Highway is worth a visit!
