The Northern Rockies Lodge is the newest Hotel in the Muncho Lake/Liard River Hotsprings and Toad River region. Our stunning Log building is the largest Hotel on the Alaska Highway and is the fitting centerpiece for Muncho Lake Provincial Park on the shores of beautiful Muncho Lake.

The main lodge is open year-round, the cabins are open between May 15th and August 31st.

We traveled the whole Alaska Highway by motorcycle this summer and there is no question that your lodge is the best facility on the highway. Hands down. You guys do a super job.

We are the ideal Hotel and RV overnight stop for Alaska Highway travellers touring by car or RV. The Northern Rockies Lodge is located halfway between Dawson Creek (Mile 0) and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory (Mile 918). You can easily reach us in a day's drive from Grande Prairie, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John or Whitehorse. The Liard River Hotsprings Provincial Park is a short 35 min drive north of Muncho Lake. By spending the night at our lodge you will save one day of travel to/from Alaska as an overnight stay in Watson Lake and Fort Nelson will no longer be necessary.
Accommodation at the Northern Rockies Lodge is comprised of 45 modern, non-smoking guest rooms. All rooms in the main lodge are equipped with colour TVs, thermostatically controlled heat and contain full ensuite washroom facilities. Designated pet rooms are available. The restaurant and main lodge are open year-round. The Northern Rockies Lodge on Muncho Lake also offers an exciting variety of fishing, hiking, glacier flightseeing, canoeing and wildlife viewing tours and packages.
We travel the Alaska Highway twice a year and always plan our trip so that we can stay at your beautiful Lodge.
