Stay in a lakeshore chalet directly on Muncho Lake

The northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains are home to BC's largest protected area and provincial park. The Muskwa Kechika is also known as the "Serengeti of the North" and harbours some of the best scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities Canada has to offer.

Nearby Nahanni National Park in the Northwest Territories is Canada's first natural UNESCO World Heritage site. Iconic Virgina Falls, as well as the glaciers and untouched mountain peaks of the Northern Rocky Mountains are all visited during our unique nature tours.

  • Just getting to Muncho Lake already offers you some of the best. We meet you at Fort Nelson airport with our comfortable Mercedes van. Your tour takes you along the Alaska Highway's most scenic sections over Summit Lake (the Alaska Highway's highest point) to our lodge on beautiful Muncho Lake.

  • A comfortable lakeshore chalet is your home away from home in the centre of Muncho Lake Provincial Park. Our eight acre property is known as the best place to stay. Our chefs will spoil you with excellent food, including daily three-course dinner menus, in our Bushpilots Lounge.

  • Board the floatplane in front of your lake shore cabin after breakfast. Soar like an eagle with your bushpilot over the majestic northernmost reaches of the Rocky Mountains. The panoramic windows of the plane allow you to take pictures of an area that few people have visited before. At your day's destination, you will explore together with your bushpilot and guide the best kept secrets of the Muskwa Kechika Wilderness Area. Depending on the day's activities, we enjoy a picnic lunch or cook our meals on an open fire. Both canoes and motorboats are our mode of transportation in the backcountry. Depending on your wishes, strolls or hikes to visit additional highlights in the area are organized.
